tire pressure light...

i just got my G about a month ago. the car has only 1K miles on it and today the light came on. i went to a local tire shop and the left front tire was a little low on the psi. and he filled it up, but the car still has the light on.

my question is, is it normal for a car which has been driven only 1K miles go low on tire pressure? and how do i get the light turned off?

i got 19inch from the infiniti, stock rims. also is it me or does the tire in the front look like they have lower pressure than the back tires. the guy at the tire shop told me its cuz of the weight of the engine in the front, but i just don't know.

it should go away after a bit of driving. mine has come on before, and the light disappears after a couple of minutes while driving.

Maybe because it's new, the tires are still trying to settle in. *shrugs

Take it to Infiniti, have them check it out, maybe a bad seal on the tire to rim.

happened to me 2 days ago, i had a nail in the tire, they took it out and patched, so if the light goes back again, it might be some damn nail

Get yourself a good tire pressure gauge (digital) and check and set your pressures yourself. The light will come on in both an under and over inflation situation.
Be sure to check them b4 driving first thing in the morning.

What is the recommended pressure on the stock 19" wheels and potenza tires?

One thing to remember (not that this is what happened to you)....

Now that we are at the end of summer, the temps will eventually begin to get cooler at night and the daytime will still be really warm.

With the constant shifting temperatures, your tires will expand and contract. In turn, this will make your warning light turn on when it is in the cooler evening time.

This happened to me last week. I was afraid my tire was going down. I took it to the dealer, where they explained to me about the cool front that had just come through that made the tire pressure drop.

Sorry about the long, confusing explanation.
