Because a GTR will likely cost almost twice the price of a coupe maybe?

R34 GT-R was close to $60K in Japan. I'm positive that the new car will be priced higher than that. Who's gonna be able to afford it? It's a totaly different package.

The insurance would probably be a killer on a GT-R too.

~$60k in japan for R34. new GT-R will be infiniti, not nissan - which means "more luxury", new design and materials, and all that novelty crap. so, i'm guessing, at least $70k in japan. maybe ~$80-90k in the U.S. we're talking major dough. my math is faulty, but still, pretty sure it'll be a large chunk of change.

It's gonna be 70k, and there's going to be ridiculous mark ups on it when it first comes out. Don't you guys remember the 10k mark ups on the Z's??

Price will def. be at least 10k over a G...that's 10,000 reasons why someone wouldnt go all out for a GTR I guess...

I have a mag. that talks about the gtr being released in 08 and priced approx 70k. Might be a TT 3.5 engine, but they said the room of engine bay looks like it could accomadate a 4.5. Anyhow when i go to work tomorrow i'll read it agian and post some articles. I also was reading up on the NEW 06 porsche Cayman. Suppose to be kick ***. I'm thinkin about saving for that but might not be the best. I'm 22 if i buy the porsche a 70k car when i'm tired of it where do i move up to? So i'm lookin at gettin a 03-04 CB coupe in 06 then new car in 08-09. Oh well back to GTR 70k+ is expected and might not be in smae price level for some peopl ehere

Who says you have to have an Infiniti/Nissan, especially if the so-called GTR looks nothing like the G? So many other cars are due a major redesign in 07/08.

IMO i would rather spend that kind of money on a M6. What kind of numbers will the GTR be putting out?
