i got my 05 auto in march 05, i didnt even consider getting a 6mt at the time, and now i really want a stick G, anyone go thru this process before? would they give me any crap for trading it in early, like a fee for early trade in?

I traded in my 04 5AT for my 05 6MT. There is no "punishment" for trading in your car, you could buy a car and trade it in the next day. The only thing you have to worry about is the hit your going to take. You are probably going to lose 4k easily. They will be friendly to you though, because they get to sell you 2 cars, and they get to resell your old car.

My advice: Wait for the 06 to come out, and get an 06 6MT. (Maybe order one to the exact specifications you want)
