G35 Wins Nopi Cp10 in St. Louis
G35Racer X
I am from St. Louis, but attend shows all over the state. I was at Hot Import Nights in Kansas City a few weeks ago for the wonderful politics of HIN judging and amazingly come home to St. Louis, and a week later take first. I don't get it.
If you are ever at a show and see the car, come up and say hi, I don't bite.

Racing Tips
First of all in a 5AT get rid of any ounce of extra weight possible. IE, spare tire, jack, take sub box out if possible. Upgrade to a carbon fiber hood. If you don't like the vented hoods get an OEM replacement from Seibon in CF.
Get a set of 17's with good tires. The bigger the rim the slower the car. I don't care what anyone says. I go by what I learned at Skip Barber Racing School. Practice, Practice, Practice. You need to learn to master the Starting Tree and how your car reacts.
As any 5AT owner knows, the first few seconds of launch the car tends to be slow but pics up at 2500rpm. I have practiced enough to get my brake torque and tree lights down to where I have the power at launch.
As far as upgrades. Mine at first were the basics. CAI, Cats, Exhaust. Then moved to Unorthodox Pulley's, cams and a Unichip Computer to unleash all the Mods properly. Technosquare's ok but did nothing compared to the Unichip install. Big difference.
The rest of the power came from the more extensive mods and really took the racing to main stream. Heads, pistons, rods, antiroll bars, springs.
As with any race know your car, its limits, Dyno it after each mod, and know your competition. Its silly to race if you are guaranteed to lose.
