Can I get $31K for this?

Called a dealership they have a tan on black G available a 2004 - fully loaded with 5K miles. Dealership is asking $36K out the door.

Do you think it's possible to negotiate $31K or that's an unlikely offer?

tan = no thanks, .... but act like you care but not enough, and they'll lower it

I had a friend from a different message board that had 6-7 dealerships within 300 miles from him. He said he went to each dealership, & he'd go to the next dealership & see if they could beat that price....

Do you think that's worth a shot to do...or pretty risky?

Bide your time.

You could also do what I did & check w/ Lokey in FL.

Quick flight down & nice ride back

I think shopping around dealers would be a good idea. I wouldnt go 300 miles though that's for sure.
As for the price, I would shop around, get a idea what others can go down to, and then talk to the dealer from there. If everyone is offering 34-35, 31 might be too low. If anything, maybe explain the most you can pay is 30-31 and see what they say. If not and that's truly what you want to pay, walk.

you can do everything by email. just tell them what your current is and ask if they can beat it. keep playing them off of each other and you could possibly get aroudn $2k off the $36k
