how did the installer prep the car before applying the clear bra? My installer used this stuff called SpeedClay or foam clay or something, but I had clay barred the car the previous day.

The clearbra prevents paint chips from debris on the road. Some folks love it, some think its worthless. As you can see from my signature, I it should be a standard feature.

Do you have any pics of the brown dots? I remember having all kinds of weird things appear on my clear bra the first couple of weeks. I tried using everything to remove the spots/bubbles/smears but nothing worked. Then everything just started disappearing on its own. Now it looks fine, 2 months since I got it put on.

my guess is whom ever installed the clear bra should have prep it better.the brown spots are dirt/rust what ever you want to call it.they should stand behind there work and do it again...funny thing is the bra most like cost 50 bucks and they pay a guy 8 dollars hour to install it they can afford to do it again!

Hopefully the installer will re-do the bra. The most important part of the installation is prep. If he doesn't agree, he is not a good installer. Feel free to bad-mouth him if he will not stand behind his work.

All I have to say is if I brought this up to my installer he would fix it in a heartbeat. If after a month he doesn't abide to fix it, there's always other installers and small claims court.

Well I called the guy back today and he picked up.

He said its probably bug acid that leaves marks on the clear bra. He said they have had this issue and when they called 3m to find out what to do they said after about a week or 10 days the sun should make the spots go away. He said customers have told him that they eventually just went away. But he said if they are not gone within 10 days he would come out and fix the problem. So it seems like he was nice about it, I will give it a week or so and if the two spots are not gone I will give him a call back.

Hmm,

Went out to the car earlier to driy it off after last night's rain (staying
at GF's place, no garage like at home) and found a small oval yellow dot
on the hood film !. Film installed last Thursday and I washed it Sunday
and the dot was NOT there. Tried NXT wax but it didn't come off. I will
be contacting the installer to see whst he has to say/suggest.
Attaching a pix of hood (before dot) to see what you all think of the film;
personally I like it, nice and glossy. I consdier it a necesssity to protect
the less than stellar Nissan paint.

Pic is before the dot. You cannot see the edgeline very much but you can definitely see the difference in reflection & orange peel. My installer showed me different samples installed on his car and I went with the Llumar because it had the least distortion. I'll try to take a pic just like you did for comparison.
