drill attachments vs porter cable

Hi,
Do any of you guys use drill attachments as opposed to buying the porter cable utility?

For example, i found this attachment by Mothers called power ball.

PC polisher/grinder is a random orbit device. Anything you attach to the drill will be circular. Either way, you need serious experience or you'll truly muff the car rather than buff it. FWIW, pros use direct orbit (not random) and 10-12" disks.

If you're an expert, you'll be able to use the drill with attachments, but the average layman will probably burn the paint with it.
The random orbital motion of the Porter Cable makes it near impossible to mess up your paint.
Well worth the investment.
