Parking

I keep seeing G's parked in these tight spots between other cars. Am I the only one that refuses to park my car next to anything capable of giving me a door ding. My G has only ever seen end spots. Am I over protective or do other people think the same way?

a few days ago some phucker backed up into my car in his lexus, and when i was like "thanks for backing into my car, phuckhead" - he's like "it's just plastic!" thank god there was no damage - just my alarm's shock sensor went off (no, not stock).

people have no respect for your car. park as far away from anyone else as you can.

I always try to park in the end spot also and avoid places like grocery stores (The G coupe is not much of a grocery hauler anyway). This did me no good. I was parked on the end at a nice restaraunt on Friday night and when I came out after dinner someone had backed into my rear bumper and just left. I popped it out and buffed it out but it will still need to be repainted for $300.00 so parking on the end didnt help me here.
I will however always look for the best spot and walk a little further if I have to for the G.

No man, I'm like that and many of my friends are too.
LOL, if I can't find a decent place to park, I'll go home and take a cab. -- How's that for fussy?

My car is never in a bad spot. There's always a way to get a good spot or pay for a nearby parking garage. I walk a little more but heck, we can all use that.

The first week I'd picked up my new '00 dakota quad cab 4x4, someone pulled out of the neighboring spot and swung too early and put a nice long dent into the side of the truck. Not long after, someone backed into the truck and tried to drive off. I saw them and stopped them. They seemed without concern and shrugged it off as a small paint transfer, blah blah. It was an old man probably on a fixed income so I told him to just leave.

Just look at some of the cars on the road. You can see that there are quite a few people that feel a vehicle is only a tool to get you from point A to B. They don't care about what they look like or that they are sitting on a broken seat and can't roll their windows down or something. The fact that it is a simple tool is correct, however, I like cars, always have, and enjoy making her look great. It's my hobby. It's just not everyone's hobby. ; )

I always park in the far spots too. If I can't find any, then I find a nicer car to park next to. But if I see another G, I will park next to it no matter where its located in the parking lot.

the only times i've ever gotten door dings were when i parked next to cars that were more expensive than mine. now i only park next to pieces of ****. they're more careful.

If I can't find a spot that suits, I leave. No $hit. More than once I've left a restaurant and gone elsewhere because the lot was UNSAT.

It drives my wife nuts, but she's as bad as I am.

I'm trying to find a place that sells sky-hooks so I can lift my car above the crowd wherever I go. So far no luck. Not even on Ebay. I thought you could find anything on Ebay, after all - I found these and....

**THIS THREAD SCREAMS FOR A BOOTY REFERENCE**

You are not alone:)

If there's one thing that will potentially have me going to jail and or anger management classes , it's an idiot who doesn't mind smashing their door into mine. Not only is it expensive and unsightly, it also IMO inconsiderate and disrespectful. I ALWAYS park in the most far away parking spot away from other cars and shopping cart returns. In most cases if I go to the mall/shopping center it's in my wife's Xterra. But I also can't stand the people who take up two spaces just to keep from having to walk.

I look for the best spot now and I learned the hard way. You may not want to read this.

When I first got it a month ago, I went to work and had to park in a "regular" spot. There were only two choices, in the sun or in the shade. This was a brand new car only two weeks old, so naturally I choose the shade. I thought I was making the right choice. When it was time to go home for the day, I walked back to my car. It was the saddest thing I ever saw. Someone broke my passanger mirror off. It was hanging by the wires. I couldn't believe it. And of course, there was no note. It didn't even have liscence plates yet, and already to the shop. Still don't know who or why.

Yeah I try to find the spot I most feel comfortable with. At work I park next to this bimmer 700series and next to me when I go home I always find this old *** 1880 honda civic parked with his rear in. Which is the same thing I do. And he's always repectful of the space between our cars....he actually parks closer to the other car. So it's cool. I think it's just a lot of people are idiots and dont think a car means anything. And that just pisses me off. I have 2 dings and they are both from what I can tell from someone kicking my car.

Its doesnt matter. I'm constantly parking way out there by myself and when I come out, there will be some phucker parked right next to me, even if there are a zillion spaces around us. That makes me so mad.

if you park your car in the middle of nowhere with no other cars around, it just makes it this much easier for someone to vandalize your car without anyone seeing, you cant win with these things ya know

if i can i usually take up two spots, yes i know it probably pisses people off but so do the dings (i think i have 1, not even sure if its a ding or what)
