More Meat for the Road
Hello Folks… I need your help.
Current I have the OEM setup on my ’04.5 G35C.
Front: 225/50/17 on 17x7.5(balding and needs to be replaced Goodyear RS-A)
Rear: 235/50/17 on 17x8 (New Michelin Pilot A/S)
I am trying to “upsize” my tires without upgrading my rims. Also, I will move my current rear tires to the front and get new ones for the rear.
Can I go
Front: 235/50/17 (1.5% too slow)
Rear : 255/50/17 (2.9% too slow)
OR
Front: 235/50/17 (1.5% too slow)
Rear : 255/45/17 (0.8% too fast)
Is this a good combo? Will this cause VDC problems? Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks!

I've read that anything within 3% of the original circumferance is ok to use and will not upset the VDC.
Anything other than the OEM measurements will have a corrsponding effect on your speedo/odo, tho.
