Alright, so there I am at a stop light on a LONG stretch of highway and what pulls up next to me, a bright red 350Z. I got so excited because chances to race a car like this on a straight open highway just don't come along very often. I looked over to him to acknowledge him and he does the same. My palms started getting sweaty and my heart starts beating hard because I know that just as soon as the light changes...it's on. I reached down to turn the VDC off and got ready. The light in the turning lane turned green first and we both knew that the duel is seconds away. He edges forward, and I match him....again he inches, and I do the same. BOOM, the light turns green and I floor it (best launch yet..not to mention) and I look in my rear view and he is just slowly excellerating. What a lame a$$!!! What a waste. Maybe he just got scarred. Would you consider that a kill or just a waste of time???

Just a waste of time. Chances are he had not broken the car in properly and didn't want to take a chance. Just my $.02

 

My first thought was that his car wasn't broken-in, yet. I guess he was just teasing you, knowing that he won't race you. Too bad you wasted a great launch.

 

Hey gang....the way I feel about Z's...is we're all bothers and sisters on the same design platform...why screw around with each other racing, etc...etc....let's save it for the nose in the air, obnoxious european import drivers who still think Nissan products are crap and below them....you Southern California G35'rs know who and what I'm talking about. Let's enjoy our G's, have fun and don't take each other so seriously...we have the NA edge and when NISMO gets their stuff together for us with forced induction our preformance will be white knuckle and brown skivey's.....get my drift!!!!
