I don't know anyone that has a Z that doesn't like my car better. Performance numbers are too similar to base it off of that, so next is looks, and this car turns heads everywhere.

 

G can hold 2 golf bags!!!

 

i had 2 reasons for g over z.

1. the tire feathering problem has not been resolved yet. if you do not know about this, do search on my350z.com forum.

2. 2 seater = high insurance cost.

call me cheap, but i dont want to waste money on tires and insurance.

 

like the G styling better, better warranty, loaner car, trunk, nicer interior.

 

One reason, pure and simple:

Back Seat.

Expecially since there are already two other cars in my driveway that are two seaters, that is extremely impractical as it is.

If I didn't need a backseat, I would have gotten a 350Z in an instant.

 

To me, the G is more sleek. I hear the Z called "flashy" and "sporty" on a daily basis, and the G is called "Sexy" and "Smooth".
The G is a good choice to get away from the boy-racer image.
Back seats are a must for me.
Where I live, there are a ton of Z's everywhere.

 

G advantages over Z:

Better looking and classier
Better rear end
2+2
LED taillights
Better interior
Better warranty
Better resale
Better safety (longer in length= more crash protection)
Smoother ride- doesn't beat you up as much as Z
Dealers give loaner cars
Front tire feathering problem not as prevalent
Less common
Better Infiniti service vs Nissan service

 

2 extra seats, the wheelbase on the G is longer, giving it better handling

 

I disagree I think the Z and G are within each others ranges, just depends on breakins

 

I was about to purchase a 05 350Z touring but I realized that the car is cramped and it does not have any useable trunk space (the G35 is not that much better).

Other reasons:
1. Looks
2. Resale value
3. Skyline heritage

I think thats it!

 

LMFAO I TELL EVERYONE THAT-- I love that diagram, thats so funny-- They really advortized this car for the golfers, Lots of golf gear in the 'buy infiniti stuff' borchure

They still don't believe that they can fit two in there tho.

 

1. G35 coupe's wheelbase extension by 8 inches increases stability at higher speeds and keeps the car more in line and less jumpy than the shorter Z chassis.

2. G35 couep = LONGER WHEELBASE = MORE LEGROOM

3. G coupe looks like a million bucks, Z car looks like a half-mil.

Oh yeah and of course, exclusivity and looks of awe constantly.

 

I agree 03 04 interiors are not that much better than those of a Z (I even like the 03/04 interior more than the 06's Z interior). 05, on the other hand, the interior is much much better than the Z. Look at the door panels in the Z, all plastic and no detail to them, just flat.

I did consider a Z, in fact, I wanted one. But...

* G35 = C&D 10 best cars
* Looks better from behind (Z looks better from the front) and from the sides
* Infiniti > Nissan
* 2 seats in the back (My father didnt want to "spend so much money on a motorcycle")
* Less amount of them (at least in Florida).

 

1) Back Seat
2) Trunk
3) Much better looking exterior
4) Infiniti Warranty Experince (owned a '99 P11)
5) Infiniti Service
6) Interior Finishes
7) And the list could go on and on........... I seriously considered a Z but just couldn't do it.
