Question about auto-dimming instrument lights?
Am I blind and just can't find the setting on the car, or does anyone know if we can somehow change how dim all the intrument lights and radio lights are set to when it gets darker outside. I love how our cars sense the change in light and automatically dim all the gauges and everything, but it seems like if there is any light outside at all I can HARDLY read any of the dials... they almost appear black. It's like I have to strain to see what station the radio is on.
My 2000 Celica and other cars I've driven had a little wheel on the dash that I could spin for a lighter setting or a darker setting for all the gauge lights when it went dark outside.
I hope this make sense, I did a search on this and didn't find anything. Thanks!

the dimmer is on the lower left of your dash next to the trunk button. the only time the dash will dim is when the headlights come on. u probably have your headlights on auto and that's why u see the dash lights dimming (when the auto headlights come on for whatever reason). to have your interior dash lights at full just roll the dimmer all the way up until it clicks. check your manual if your still having problems locating the switch.
