Looking for a reliable store/seller – HID D2R

Nothing in search...

Where and who to buy from… I am changing the OEM to 6000k or 8000k low beams D2Rs. And is the 8000k ok to use? I like the blue/aqua tint.

Thanks…

You looking for a reliable seller or reliable bulb? Big difference. Check out the lighting section to find out more.

I went with the Philips 6000K. More expensive but very reliable. (Philips is a big OEM product and the 6000K gives a nice white/blue look). If you want the total blue / purple look...then you have to probably go for 8000K+ but, in general, no reliable company makes 8000K + bulbs. But they are cheaper.......

Good luck....

I bought mine from SUVlights.com for like $280 shipped. So....if you are gonna buy them...jump all over the group buy. Anyway...here is a pic of the stock vs. Philips. It kinda makes the stock look like a halogen on a 1984 Monte Carlo. hehe

The higher the Kelvin rating...the lower the actual light output. The "brightest" will be stock as they are rated at about 4300K. The higher up you go, the more blue/purple you will get which is an effect that many people desire. The problem is the light output starts to drop. If you've ever seen those 10,000K bulbs, they are bright purple and barely illuminate the street. I'm assuming thats the reason that most stock bulbs come in at about 4300K.

truplay8 at first i had the fully smoked 6/10 overlays from bat on my headlights and i bought my PIAAs but it is still not bright enough. you need to drive like one car length or less to see your light on the car in front of you so what i ended up doing was getting it cut into a gtr overlay and damn those lights are beautiful
