help with NISMO please

I want to replace my shiftknob with something sportier, like a chrome or titanium metal shift **** from nismo.com but i only see nissan cars... does Nismo support our car? If i get a Nismo 350z shiftknob, will it fit my car? what other alternatives do I have besides nismo? thanks

It is a pain in the butt to unscrew the shift **** (6MT). Begin by grabbing the back of the ring around the shift **** boot and pull back and up. The panel will pop up easily. You are supposed to clamp down on the shaft underneath the panel, but I couldn't find a place to grab. You will need to use some towels and clamp onto the shift **** just below the spherical top. I made some gouge marks on mine.

If you want to sell me the OEM ****, let me know.

One word of advice. Don't get an All Metal shift ****. Especially if you live where it's hot during the Summer. I have the all Titanium Shift **** and carry a Small hand towel to shift right now. Also even when it's not too Hot if your hands get sweaty You can Have your hand slip off and Miss Shift.........

The stock **** might not look real cool (I think it looks perfectly fine), but it's hard to beat it for practical use. All the NISMO ***** look harder to get a grip on. And, man, the metal shift-gate indicator on the top of my **** and the collar around the boot get hot enough to keep me away from an all-metal ****. And don't forget transmission heat travelling up into the shift **** as well. >.<

The NISMO mats have a disclaimer that they only fit the RHD models.

To see what else NISMO has available for the G, check out www.mynismo.com
