Gas company go on strike tomorrow...

With all these new 06 changes, i hate to be the bearer of bad news.

I just found out from my co-worker in N. cali that tomorrow, gas company employees will go on strike and the gas price will sky rocket. If you haven't pump gas yet, i suggest you do it now. While i'm not 100% sure of this information, but he said his customers in the East Coast warned him of this.

If anybody else have any information, please share it because i myself am unsure.

If the N. CA gas prices are any indication of how much those oil refinery workers are paid, then they have no reason to ever strike.

If gas suddenly jumped to $5 per gallon, most people would probably still buy it. There's pretty much nothing we can do about it in the short-term.

You are right but I bet there wouldn't be a lot of discretionary driving done by the averge Joe if he had to pay over $90 for a tank of gas. Also, mass transmit would probably get a huge boost.

I hate how 'speculation' over things that may not even occur always raises the price of gas, but then it is slow to fall again.
