So there I was ... a long day after a 12 hour night shift on saturday night ...feelin ripped off after seein all people out having fun and me having to motor home to go to bed.

So .. I go the long way down yonge in Toronto ..very populated on that night like usual.

I come up to the lights after passing some guys in a really nice lowered 330CI.
So, I'm sitting there minding my own business with the window down. Theirs was too.... and they were talking about how the G could be "better" and how they dont like the wing and how it looks "gehy" ... so ..

I smile and glance over and I turn off the vdc ..

and there still goin on about the wing etc if its option....BLAH BLAH BLAH

WALLIES !! totally spoilt little mammas boys.

lets just say ...after a sweet launch with almost no tire spin .... I never saw them again.....

actually briefly a few lights up and they stayed plenty back.

so ... after that I'm goin along the road and at the lights in the RIGHT lane is a Audi TT with some fat mufflers on it and it's dumped... at the red light

I'm makin my way up in the left lane to make a LEFT.... but I havn't got there yet .. the light turns green and CLOWN in the audi goes right over from the right lane into the left lane after making the left and cuts me right the hell off.

fully purposly and I nearly smoked his A$$.. good ol brembos and steering control worked me around him to get up to the next lights....

his lady was looking at me all scared like ooops ..sorry.. I didnt say nothin... just kinda shook the ol head.

he revved up the motor and the tomato cans were rattlin away..

this guy had performance stickers on the small windows and everything... nice car... but about to get his A$$ handed to him INFRONT of his woman!!

thats the last I saw of that *****!.

Sometimes I miss it too. Used to cruise from Oakville to N Younge street and home again (via Lakeshore yet). Won't tell ya how long ago but it was cool.

don't worry about either of those cars. The poor 330ci people were just jealous that the G35 came out to stomp the 3 series. Better handling, power and over all performance. Exterior styling that makes the 330ci look very old and boring.

The TT had to cut you off because he knew he would have no chance of keeping up with you. This way he can say "look babe I'm beating the G35 coupe, I'm infront of him". He's jealous cause he has nothing on the G35. Don't trip I had one cut me off too, then stopped in the middle of the road to let me get to the side of him. I guess he was trying to show he can drop me like nothing. The only thing he proved to me was the G35 drops a revving TT with ease.

Niiiiice kills man. I've noticed a lot of G bashing coming from BMW (and other German car) owners who are now insecure with their cars. They can't come up with any real nits to pick so they go on things like the wing on the back or the interior materials. At the end of the day though, the G wins in every area that matters to a true enthusiast.

 

They're just jealous and upset that they paid more for less performance. A lot of German car owners get real defensive that way, and they start preaching all these intangible things like 'status' and 'feel', etc. I go through the same exact thing with the Z06 vs. Porsches.

Screw 'em - let them think what they want to think. I'm happy with the cars I drive, and that's all that matters. If I wanted a BMW or a Porsche, I would have bought one. I looked at them, and passed. I don't regret my decision one bit.

Um, well, I'd say there's quite a bit of difference in the 'feel' of a Z06 vs. a 911. They don't have much in common besides going really really fast. I'm just saying. A 911 is a 911. Nothing else sold in America has an engine trailing behind all of its wheels.

And I hate the G's spoiler too. That's why mine doesn't have it. It's not necessarily envy. Though coming from a Bimmer... you know, I find that the main thing I don't like about the 330ci is that thing that's usually covering the driver's seat.
