2005 production run and 2004.5 question?
First off, what were the differences between the 2004.5 and 2004 models? Did they just put the '05 dash in the 2004.5 or something like that?
The important question now.
Is there a set number of coupes they produce each year? I went to the dealer yesterday and they said that Infiniti only produces 12,000 coupes a year. Is that true? I looked for information on the production runs and couldn't find any. I'm almost positive it was BS, but I thought I'd ask. It doesn't matter either way, but I just want to know if it's true.
On a side note, I only have one Infiniti dealer in the state and they said they wouldn't budge on the price. They give you that crap that they had surveys and market analysis and other stuff that tells them what the customer wants to pay. That's the price they put on the sticker so there is no haggling. The funny thing is the sticker prices looked like MSRP to me. They also said they have no trouble selling the coupes at sticker anyway, so they definately won't budge. That's understandable as they never get too many and they're gone pretty quickly. Looks like I'll be buying out of state as I refuse to pay MSRP or sticker or whatever they want to call it.
Thanks,
Ed

If you go to nissannews, click on "Infiniti" at the top, then click "Sales News", and then click on "July". If you scroll down, you will see that infinit has sold 15,846 coupes so far this year. So, with 4 months left in the year, they are over the 12,000 per year that they make
You could buy from Grubbs. I've read here that people have had good experiences with them.
Of course, if you were to get information from the Grubbs website and show your local dealer a better deal, I bet they will want to deal.
Oh, and if you want to know how much MSRP is, go to Infiniti.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I will definately try Grubbs. I will also see if the local dealer will match the best offer I get. I still have to wait a couple months before I'm ready to get the car though.
How much does it usually cost to ship a car? I definately wouldn't want to drive it from another state and put all those miles on it right away.
Also, I'd still like to know the differences between the 2004 and 2004.5 models if anyone can tell me.
