I found a good deal on a used 6mt but it has the body side molding, which I am not fond of. Anyone know if and how it can be removed?

you can have the dealer remove it for you. or you can do it yourself with a blowdryer/heatgun. same as removing emblems.

Yeah, it can be done yourself.

My car initially had them on so that was the very first thing i did. Those body side moldings are hideous and really take away from the lines of the car.

Anyway.....i removed mine with dental floss and some Goo-Gone. Its not so hard getting the body moldings off the difficulty comes when removing the double-sided tape. It took me a couple hours, and i walked away with 2 sore thumbs but just take your time with it.

help with the moldings
my car also had them and I found that if I parked the car in the sun for like 4 hours to really heat up the car, the moldings will basically rip off and all you have to do is get a plastic scraper to get the goof off and finish off with wax and polish to finish the look.

Get ready for swirls! And also, if the car has been under the sun for a long time, you might see a difference in color.
