Re: Pics of my 19 in Gewalts
Oh man I have a bunch of questions about your wheels. I am ordering 19's for my Coupe but I don't know what direction to go in. First off, how much did u spend on the wheels on tires together. Secondly, what size tires did you go with. So far I have seen 245/35/19's and 225/40/19's available. I want to go as wide as possible but I don't want to be left with very little rubber on the tire. If you could, please tell me everything about your wheels and tires and any other info you have found out. I appreciate it.

Re: Pics of my 19 in Gewalts
Kilrmy no problem. The total cost of the Wheels and tires were $2700. The wheel is called Gewalt Evo II's and I have 19X10's in the rear and 19X9's in the front. I have Dunlop SP9000's with 275/35/19's in the rear and 245/35/19's in the front. The won't rub at all. The wheel is out of Japan but there's a dealer in El Monte CA that is really great. I think he even does free shipping. I was worried about the tires also, I did not want a really low profile because of the GAP and the ride. We looked at the stocks and compared these tires to them and they were a match. Looks fine. Looks much better in person. The great part about these wheels is that they fit perfect over the Brembo's....

Correct me if I am wrong, but you said that the 19's with the tires were a match to the stock wheels and tires. Same diameter or at least very close. That is awesome. Also, with the nineteens I want to drop the car about an inch all around. Did the dealer say the 19's would be OK with a drop like that. Do you have the shop's phone number that you got the wheels from.

Re: Pics of my 19 in Gewalts
Let me ask this question then. I had 215/35/18's on an older car and I had a TON of trouble with sidewall damage and bubbles because there was barely any rubber on the tire at all. that is my major concern with the new tires and getting another 35 profile tire. Will there be enough rubber on a 245/35/19 compared to a 215/35/18. I don't want to go through all the hassle again with bubbles.

Re: Pics of my 19 in Gewalts
i did some quick calculations regarding your tires and the stock tires:
STOCK TIRES ROLLING CIRCUMFERENCE:
Front: [{(22.5/2.54) x 0.45} x 2 + 18] x 3.14 = 81.55 inches
Rear: [{(24.5/2.54) x 0.45} x 2 + 18] x 3.14 = 83.77 inches
AFTERMARKET TIRES ROLLING CIRCUMFERENCE
Front: [{(24.5/2.54) x 0.35} x 2 + 19] x 3.14 = 80.86 inches
Rear: [{(27.5/2.54) x 0.35} x 2 + 19] x 3.14 = 83.45 inches
Im not here to flame you or anything, and i praise you for venturing into the aftermarket on your brand new coupe. The wheels look mad hot.
But i have noticed that your front tires have a rolling circumference difference of close to an inch compared to the stock tires. I think that it might throw off the TCS of VCS or wateva the gcoupe uses.
A closer fit to the stock rolling circumference is:
255/35/19 or 250/35/19 for the front and 280/35/19 for the rear:
Front: [{(25.5/2.54) x 0.35} x 2 + 19] x 3.14 = 81.72 inches
Front: [{(25.0/2.54) x 0.35} x 2 + 19] x 3.14 = 81.29 inches
Rear: [{(28.0/2.54) x 0.35} x 2 + 19] x 3.14 = 83.88 inches

Thanks for the info. I was told that some tires are bigger than others also depending on the company. That's why we took the stock 18's off and compared them to the Dunlops. But I could be wrong. Do they even make a 250/35/19? or a 280/35/19? I rather have bigger tires anyway. These work fine though IMHO. Thanks for the info though...

Re: Pics of my 19 in Gewalts
Hey what are the numbers on the Coupe wheels. Bolt pattern, offset, etc. i would liek to order wheels now so i can have them ready when the car arrives. I assume you know all this stuff because you already havew your wheels on. What if I wanted to go with 20's and not drop it. Would that work out. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
