As mentioned before the throttle limit was imposed for safety reasons. Theres a slight risk that under wot the throttle body would 'stick' open if allowed to be open more than ~80%

You have to remember also that the throttle body is basically a butterfly valve (basically a circular disk that rotates on its axis). At 100% open you still will NOT have 100% air flow through the throttle body, as the thickness of the circular disk will still sit right in the middle of the 'pipe.' I'm not sure how it relates to intakes, but in my industry (petrochemical transportation) a butterfly valve that is open 90% is just as good as a butterfly valve open 100%.

From the beginning of this 'discussion' many months (maybe years) ago it has been said that at 100% it is more likely to stick then at 90%.

Yes, you are correct, Sir. However, if Scotty is not available, you might try getting in contact with his business partner, Kirk. These two gentlemen are sort of spacey, if you know what I mean, but they boldly go where no designers have ever gone.

Within milli-seconds the Neuron Capacitator will calculate your mental and emotional standings. If so required, it will reduce the throttle potential. This is done in an attempt to protect the innocent passengers and pedestrians. In some instances, cars will not start up and simply eject the driver through the optional sunroof. Thus, the sunroof is a must have option for some people.
Ejection seat..... better than air bags!!!! LMAO

Drive By Wire Adjustment
"Throught our testing we found, the drive by wire system was program to never fully open (throttle flap) when you smash the accelerator pedal. In fact, it actually closes the closer you get to the rev limiter, by as much as 20%. This restricts air into the motor and causes HP and torque numbers to go down. We have remapped this setup so when you go wide open throttle, the throttle flap fully opens and STAYS open, increasing HP and torque"

Taken from here... http://www.technosquareinc.com/g35.htm

Technosquare has a reflash available that'll remove the throttle limitation and the speed governor. I believe this information is pretty accurate as I heard it from a friend who has been quite involved with Nissans, a 350Z in particular. He doesn't work for Technosquare, but has had extensive relations with them.

Any of you guys interested in perhaps a meet at Technosquare in Torrance one of these days? I'm pretty sure I can arrange to have them explain to us all the ins and outs of tuning our motors and perhaps arrange a group buy for their flash. I plan on doing it eventually, but not until I have my exhaust, y-pipe, and headers in place.
+1 ^

Andy...good one.
