Its the tranny. If I have the clutch in and I'm coming up to a stop, and I ease the stick into 1st gear I'll hear the wheee-ne-ne-ne-neeeeeeee whine till I come to full stop.

Another noise you might notice, or at least I have...my car has a slight chuff that comes from the intake (throttle body) when I tap the accelerator. Thought I had a problem till I sat in the garage and experimented for a couple minutes. It was just a higher pitch than I had been previously atune to. I was used to a more evident lower-toned noise like I'd had from my AEM intake on my 99 Prelude. I figure a Z-tube would lower the tone when I eventually get around to that.

You sure your ZTT had a cable clutch? Even my 84 and 86 300ZXs had hydro clutches.

 

its the tranny.. if there is a whinning noise when the clutch is engauged (Tranny is spinning) if hes in neutral or clutch is out (tranny is not spinning)...

i'm pretty sure hes talking about what me and gee im fast are talking about.. its not a problem

Err....BTW it wasn't my Z that had the cable...sorry about that...wrong car...good call...it's been awhile since I've had it Ignore stupid here.
