coupe in snow...hmm
coupe in snow...hmm
Well, i just got to try my G in snow.... very interesting.... I am NOT doing that again on these tires. Definitly not as much fun as the S4 was in snow. Well, maybe as much fun, but in a very different way
. I managed to get stuck(and eventually unstuck) about 3 times. All in about 1 mile trip. VDC has to be turned off if you ever intend to start moving. Once you are moving it isn't too bad(you can turn the VDC back on to help keeping it straight). Control is OK, you can even get up on slight hills.
245 summer rubber is NOT made for this. But, it was kind of fun going sidways :-). So, now i have to decide if it is worth the money to get winter tires here in MD where it only snows about 2-4 times a year and everything pretty much closes when it happens.

Re: coupe in snow...hmm
heh i hear ya.....too bad i live in michigan and it snows 2-4 times......PER WEEK, got a g35c 6mt on order, thank god its coming in april
if it only snows so little...maybe you should just rent a car for those days if you really need one heh, im sure you can find a cavalier or neon for $20-30 per day, which isnt bad at all since getting snow tires will cost you $1000 if not more.

It's not really a big deal here. Almost everything shuts down in Maryland when here is more then an inch of snow
So, i don't really HAVE to go anywhere. i have food and entertainment walking distance from me, so it's all good.

Up here in the Great White North we drive everything in the winter. Not on unidirectional tires though. A very bad idea. You need the right tires. I drove my vette every winter that I had it and with proper tires it was fine.
This car will handle just fine with proper rubber. I have winter driven a 340 Challenger RT, a Vette, a Thunderbird Supercoupe and a Trans Am GTA. No accidents, no problems. Just don't take stupid chances if it's icy.
My only fear is other idiots hitting me. That I can't control.

I agree 100%. With snow tires this car will be great in snow...
There are some advantages in RWD vs, FWD cars for snow use. You just have to have right rubber.
