I was wondering if anyone can give me a hand here. My passenger side door lock struggles to unlock/lock. When I unlock it, it moves but it seems like there's not enough power for it go go all the way. So it pretty much moves halfway, not fully unlocking the door. If I lock the door, it'll lock fine. Now if I manually unock the door (with my hand) and then I lock the door, it'll do the same thing but in reverse. So it would move half way (towards locking) but not fully locking. Does anyone know why this is so? I recently just did the blinker mod for my corners, and it works. I'm wondering if that may have anything to do with this? Any help would be great. I would hate to bring it to the dealer and have them blame my blinker mod for this. Thanks.

 

Where'd you tap the power for the blinkers from? Normally when I do a blinker install, I tap it to an existing blinker but it does take some power away from it so i hook up some resistors to it. In your case, I highly doubt they'd drew power from the door lock.

I notice that you have a aftermarket alarm system. How was the door locks working when you got it installed?

 

wohoo! im not the only one. but mine is on the driver side. and i didnt do any blinker mod or any mod lately so i guess it's not related to that. i was thinking of trying to fix it myself but the car is due for an oil change so ill just have the dealer looked into it.

 

i had that prob, door lock motor was replaced under warranty.

 

I see I guess i will ask them to change it during my next oil change or something.. as long as its not related to the blinker mod. My door lock was working perfectly fine with my remote. Ok then...that shouldn't affect anything with the doorlocks. Factory defect and just mention it to Infiniti
