Dealer trying to F**k me over. Need Help!!!

Okay, this is the situation. My car all of the sudden started making a very strange noise coming from the engine, looks like something broke down and the valves are screaming like crazy. I had my car towed to the dealership. They don't even know what it is yet but in order to open my engine they wants to charge me $1999 for 20 hours labor + $1999 to mount it back and should cost around $1000 in parts. My car has 20,000 miles and is under warranty. They are saying that I have no cats on my car when I have high flow cats and they are saying that I have too much aftermarket parts on the car and Infiniti will not cover the damage. I'm 100% sure that my aftermarket parts has nothing to do with the damage and I only have exhaust, high-flow cats and popcharger. This is totally BS from them. I need advice on what to do, I can't afford $5000 under a car that is supposed to be under warranty. I already printed out the magnuson moss act and will take to them although irrelevant. Please, need advice. Dealership is Warren Henry in Miami, FL.

The only way that they can screw u over is if they can prove that the aftermarket parts you have damaged or can damage the engine or whatever problem you have...if you want i would take the advise and take the car to another dealer and find out what they say about it first before you do anything. You should check the internet about laws about aftermarket products. The worst case scenario take it to a trust worthy machanic and see what they say about it. Check the laws on this carefully and know what youre up against. Good luck and let us know what happens...
I will try to get some more info if I can.

They need to aknowledge the Magnuson Moss act. A word of advice: STAY AWAY from Warren Henry. They're notorious for refusing to do warranty work on cars. Take it to South Motors. I don't have a contact name there, but I can ask and let you know, there was someone who had their tranny replaced there after warren henry didn't want to cover it. You should start coming out to our meets so you can make a few connections here and there, seriously Let us know how it goes.

Did they at least lube you up or put a condom on? LOL! Just kidding. Like others have said, go to different dealer. And they definately have to prove that your mods cause the problem.

All you need to do is ask them if they have ever heard of the Magnuson Moss act ! Im sure they wont like the sound of that. The dealership would have to prove that the aftermarket parts were the direct cause of the problem. I have seen several other similar threads. Do a search under the Magnuson Moss act and print up what you find. Bring it with you when you go and talk to the dealer. You want to have as much documentation as possible. There is no point in getting into a pissing contest with the dealership. You might just be better off finding a different dealership.
