If you guys know of a car that has excellent mpg for daily driving, let me know please. Thanks
If you really do live in NYC wouldn't insurance on your commuter cost WAY more then your savings in gas? It doesn't make sense.

? O MY you people. Why get a 40k$ and wine about gas prices?. We all know gas is going to go up. I cant believe that someone can trade their car for something not as nice and be glad just because they save on gas.

No sympathy for Luxury car and SUV owners. You have to pay to play...

Toyota Corolla. Best bang for the buck.
Civic Ex gets the same mileage, but costs more and has less power.
Hybrids will not get the gas mileage to offset the extra cost.

when u sell it, u basically lose at least $12,000(Canadian). Then you go buy something else brand new and have to pay taxes and all that other crap. In the end, you could've used the 12,000 bux u would've lost if you sold it, to put gas in ur g. i duno.. couldn't justify selling the g for a toyota or something.

I prefer to "switch up" every now and then with my 400 hp, 350ci custom el camino. it spreads the life of the gas tank in the G. Oh, and the elky gets great gas milage! about 12 mpg, and can rip through tires faster than you can say mandula ablingada. Its a great way to save gas!
J/K- seriously, I bought a G for a reason-to drive it! not to let it sit because of something little like gas prices- here they are about $3.49 for 93octane.
Now snow, thats a different matter, but still a small one.
hahahahahhaa

seriously though, i seen a civic tricked out for less than 4 grand, and under 100k. that sounds like a decent deal for saving gas.? thoughts?

if gas is a real concern, get a scooter

I was thinking about getting a sport bike myself, although more for the fun factor, the gas savings is just the icing on the cake :P

I just bought a 21-speed bike; have to admit, the seat is more comfortable than my G.

I would go for a VW Jetta TDI.

the VW TDIs get 50 - 60 mpg on diesel gas.
