alternative car to g35coupe to save gas?

I get about 18 to 20 in the city and 25-26 on the highway which really isn't that bad compared to most luxury cars. I have considered a "commuting car," if for any reason to save on the wear and tear on the G as well as some gas, but with the way insurance works its really hard to rationalize. When I have my G paid off I will probably look more seriously at a second commuter car.

As a guy that went from having a bmw 330cic to riding a Honda 600RR to now driving a G I say a sportbike is a great commuter BUT much more hazardous to your health
( I got hit twice in 2 months, and I'm no newbie.)
I'm also looking at the new R1, sexy as hell and can do 102mph is 1st gear!

a friend of mine has a '93 acura integra w/ 70k on a rebuilt engine he's thinking of selling. depending on how much he wants for it, i might just get it or buy my sister's focus since she rarely uses it . but, yeah, ur right about insurance though. i live in nj and car insurance here sux ballz! where do u live and how much more would ur insurance cost if u were to get a commuter car?
