I've been very interested in the G35 coupe and one day wish to own one. I noticed while looking at some pics that the side mirrors resembled the 350z's same bizarre style. The actual mirror sits on top of the plastic part and seems detactched from the car. They look like they could easily break off or become loose or something. Anyone have any problems with them? Feedback would be highly appreciated. Thanks

 

they are retractabe both forward and backwards, myabe thats why it lQQk lil off, have not had any problem with it althought i only owns it for 12 days, they feel pretty sturdy when you try to move it, not sure if thye lQQk like the Z's...do hope you get the G, it is an wonderfull car...s.w.

They are very sturdy, most other cars only have aesthetic reinforcements that make it appear stronger. This is a more tasteful design that is still as strong. Of all the things to stress over, this would be the last!

are you serious? the mirrors are fine like this, all cars have 2 piece sideview mirrors these days, the ones on the G move both backward and forward incase you run into something

The mmirrors are also handy when parking in tight spaces - just fold them back to give you some more room.

Of course, I've never used them in this manner, because I've never parked next to someone (look for me in the far corner of the lot).
