Unhappy Today's my lucky day (not really)

So the weather was great today. Supposed to rain later in the week, so I figure I'd drive the coupe into work today (80 miles round trip). But my gut just said that I should drive the beater into work today and save a few miles on the coupe. (That and I didn't want my G35 to get rained on).

So I drive the "beater" into work. I actually left home an hour early, cause I wanted to get off early. So when I'm on the freeway, I get sandwiched in a 4 car pileup I had plenty of time/room to stop. The lady behind me even had time to come to a stop. (tho she did swerve all over the place). But the fellow behind her. Wonder if he even bothered to hit the brakes at all.

Normally, I would've been , but all I could think was, thank goodness I wasn't driving the G35

Is something wrong with me? I mean the first thing I did when I got to the body shop, was check to make sure my HID's didn't get blown out

The guy responsible for the whole wreck, who the police said might be uninsured , must've been going crazy fast, cause I've been rear-ended at 50+mph by a Camry and Maxima before, and this felt worse, even though I wasn't even directly hit. I felt bad for the lady behind me tho. Her front end and back end was smashed in.

Thankfully nobody got hurt.

I think GM builds some nice tanks tho This is the third time I got rearended in my Grand Prix, and suffered minimal damage. (Just a new bumper skin and respray for $700) I'm pretty sure if I was in my G35, my whole trunk would've been smashed in.

Yes, you are lucky on many levels.. For one, good thing you came out of it without any injuries. That's good. Also, good thing you weren't in the G as I would consider that luck.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Hope everything goes smoothly with insurance.
