Few questions for you gurus

1) I hear a ticking sound coming from the engine upon idle. Is this normal? I can hear it when I'm standing next to the car outside.

2) Anytime I rev past 5500, I smell a faint rubber smell. Im thinking it maybe the tires since I usually approach 6800 and shift on fast runs. My shifting is pretty smooth and I dont feel like I am holding the clutch too long. I have approx 8000 miles on my car now.

3) Whats the best way to clean water spots off of the plastic covering the odometer? Is there anyway to get rid of them or do I need a new plastic piece? I tried windex, water, and some maguires interior plastic/vinyl cleaner. These spots **** me off!!!

Thanks all !!!

A tiny bit of vinegar and water on a cotton cloth will clean the plastic covering. Just be careful with smears. Make sure that you dry the area carefully.
