Does painting your brakes affect you warrenty?

I was just wondering, because i was thinking about painting them.

nope, had mine painted red and after i had my pads changed, no problem from dealer.

there is a guy who sells a kit for cars to paint callipers, i bought one from him and it works pretty good his telephone number is 516 233 7788 and his name is mike

You can get the appropriate brake calliper paint from almost any auto parts store.

Or you can take them somewhere and have them powder coated, then clear coated if you want to do it right.

I used the G2 paint kit. Bought it off ebay for like 30 bucks. Loved this cheap mod...though the Brembo boys won't.

how long ago did you do this? i'm asking because brake dust is killing me!!! my red is now a darkish red with a lot of powder stuck to it.

Well..those pics were right after I did it. Its been like 7 months and they are still nice. Obviously they get somewhat dirty, but I just try and quickly clean them when I wash/wax the car. I have been surprised that the 05 brake pads dont give off that much dust. But I certainly didn't expect them to stay cherry red forever.

On my PT Cruiser I painted the calibers with spray paint designed for engine blocks -- I think I used the Chrylser orange. These paints are designed for high temps and worked great. Available in a couple colors at your local auto parts store.
