If you want faster acceleration at modest price, like somone else said, the best bang for your buck is to get numerically higher rear axle gear ratio. You will feel the increase with the "butt dyno", the trade off is slightly lower gas mileage/top end speed.

How bout the new single turbo form APS? Haven't heard much about it lately although I don't visit FI section much. Neffster may chime in on this one.

SC are safer on the engine b/c the torque spikes that inherent with turbos. Now if your beefin' up the engine like getting forged internals...then...go for the turbos b/c they tend to be more sought after.

OK, I am new to the G world so don't laugh when I ask this. What is a FI? & plenum? I have seen these in many treads and have to find out what they are.

F1 is when you use a forced induction on your car like a turbo, you know the F1 cars, they use massive forced induction to create high horsepower from very small engines. THe plenum is part of the car that allows airflow.

Doesn't have to be straight down, any falling object will still fall at that speed.

yes, turbos will allow u to put out crazy hp, but for most people, i think a SC is enough. correct me if im wrong, isnt the Vortech (tuned properly and some other needed additional modifications) able to put out 400 to 500 whp? i think for most thats more than enough. i dont see the point of having a 1000hp car besides the braggin right. u cant even drive that thing without ur tires smokin in every single gears!

+1, its pointless to have a 700+HP G, if its your daily driver. if its your weekend driver than thats a different story. yes if the vortech is tuned properly and changed a few modifactions here and there it can probably push a little bit over 400HP max. i never really seen any #s higher than the 400-420 HP range on a SC. But nevertheless 400 WHP is almost a good 1.5x that of stock. for most people thats more than enough.

Optional
Take off your windows, doors, trunklid, hood, then gut the interior. Saran wrap the whole car and figure out a way to get into it and let me know what your new 1/4 mile time is.
