Am I screwed?

Hello all...As you can see from my signature my car is a little modified..Took my car into the dealer several weeks ago for a gas tank issue and a vibration on the front...Vibration went away on the right front but showed up on the left..Gas was not fixed and I ended up stranded on the expressway twice before the car went back into service...Got a call today that they fixed the gas tank but will not fix the noise or vibration on the front...My service adviser's boss told him that the car did not have the original shocks and springs, swaybars and that the rotors(Brembo slotted replacements) are oversized so he will not even attempt to fix it...The adviser admitted to me that they don't even know what the problem is and the tech wanted to try a different set of wheels and
tires...I personally believe it is a wheel bearing and that this is the beginning of the "runaround" game..What are my options here? I will be speaking to the "boss" tomorrow morning..

Show them the Magnosson Moss Act, and do a search on this forum about warranty issues with dealer.

i believe they have to PROVE that its your mods that are causing the noise before they can deny you the service

well if you put stiffer components into your suspension, it was cause more rattles. They might be able to put some mumbo jumbo together and prove it is your mods' fault.

There was a problem in old E36 BMW's that stiffer suspensions sometimes caused the rear sub frame to tear, and BMW wouldn't fix it under warranty.

You do have a lot of suspension upgrade so it might be related. How bad is the vibration? Check all the necessary components in the front left of the car. Your guess might be the correct one.

Its a feeling of something grinding between 15 and 80mph..The steering wheel does not shake and vibrate...It's kind of you're feeling a sound instead of hearing it...It's so bad that I've driven the car home, jacked it up and checked everything with no luck in finding what it is thats creating this feeling..My passengers also experience the same sensation...I've replaced the brakes twice in a week and the results are still the same..

I bet it is the bearing like you suspected. I have experience the same thing but on a different car. Have that checked and replaced before you damage something else.

Could it be your tires? Pass your hand on the inside and check if the threads are smooth.

My tires are fine...Spoke to the service mgr on Saturday...He nor the service adviser had test drove my car...As a matter of fact I don't think the tech did either...Service mgr played the resistance game at first, but finally decided that he was going to test drive the car himself on Monday and even gave me a tour of the facility, showing me his new lifts designed to accomodate lowered cars like mine..I left feeling somewhat positive about my chances to have my warranty honored....Thanks for all the feedback..

Kudos to Atlantic Infiniti..My G is finally fixed and it was the left front bearing that was creating that grinding sensation...They actually changed both sides and my car is now on point...Cost me $35 for new lug nuts...Thanks everyone..
