We have a G35 in our Bay right now and we are having a problem with it. We installed a Car audio system into it and now the "fog light swicth" That isjust inside the light lever. What does this this rotating switch do? It has a off selection as well as a picutre displaying brights. When we put this into the on position it does not turn anything on. We were wondering what it acutally did and if it served a purpose if you didnt have fog lights? The brights still work when you push the lever forward. Can someone tell me what it actually does. The owner of this car is very concerned that we hooked something up wrong and we are not sure if we have or not.

the fog lights should come on with that switch, they are the lower two lights in the headlamp unit. They will only come on when low beams are on and car is running. Hope this helps

The rotating switch you're asking about is to turn on the fog/running light, which will turn on only when the main headlights are in the low beam mode.
If the rotating switch is left on (to iluminate the fogs) and the high beams are activated, then the fogs will automatically turn off until the low beams are activated again.
