yeah, i figured that the launch was a little off. That 14.0 is a very good time!! i would even believe a 13.9 with a driver who really knows their car. I've heard about these times coming out of a certian track about an 1 1/2hr from my house, Englishtown in New Jersey. I think i'd be able to land a good time at this track. The major problem with our cars is traction, they are very quick for a "luxury sports coupe" but are tricky to launch. When i race i usually go from a roll, i tear ppl up from a roll, im also a very quick shifter..... Well Good Luck, if u ever take it to the track let us know what u run....

GO TO THE TRACK!!! Show us your slip! You aren't gonna get a 2.0 60' if you've never been to the track. Ain't gonna happen!!!

i can rocket a 1.7 with the VR4..

I bet a 2.2 the first few times and 2.0 by the end of the night.

2.14" is the best 60' time I have ever done on street tires and I've been to the track a few times.

Try using the micromode on your digicam so that you can zoom right over it and show us the actual numbers (not denying it, I just reall wanna see it )

Ok, I scanned in my 2.14" 60' time. I was more impressed with my reaction time than anything else.

btw, this track sucks for good times. elev - 1150'

I'm on the left, and a Dodge Cummings turbo diesel truck on the right!

Ok... this is probably the most useless thread every but I'll throw in my $.02

I ran a 13.8 @ 103 on winter tires at englishtown raceway park after advice from another G owner to air down to 15 psi in the rears. I was actually able to not hop off the line at this psi. My 60' was in the 2.25-2.3 area, I don't have the actual timeslip (or any of my G35 related stuff) unpacked yet, but for those who'd like to see it I'll scan it.

I was launching at 2500-3000 rpms every time, trying to find a nice sweet spot, I found closer to 3000 produced less bog, but more wheel hop if you weren't very nice with the clutch, so I started trying to exceed 3000 rpm launches. When I did 15 PSI + ~3200 rpms, I found the car hooked real well and kept with it until I hit 13.8. If you honestly think that bone stock (even with track experience in an AWD car, as its not just drop and go in a RWD car) your gonna go to the track and produce a 1.6 60' (there are Z's on drag radials that own records, namly the 12.9x@105 and dbtrackz33's 107 mph trap record, yet barley touch your 1.6 60') your crazy. You said you can drop in at 5k on the dyno... go do that at the track, see what you hit first, the left or right wall.

When I opened this post, I honestly thought I'd finally be seeing 100% proof that the 05 is truely faster stock for stock... Now I'm tempted to go put my car on the dyno so I can run around saying I have a 12 second G35 N/A.

I never said that...

In fact i didn't say how I launched.

I did my standard street launch.. 2000 rpms with slight fleathering.

Keeps me up with other 400awhp 3000GTs doing 6000rpm dumps. (no where close to even, but not creamed either)

and I also have many years of experience launching HIGH power SC'd V8s.

260 ft-lbs is VERY easy to control.
