Bingo. Those washers don't work well after they've been used. The type Nissan uses are a "cup" type crush washer. The Honda ones are just flat crush material washers that can be used over and over. I wish Nissan would use those types.

Anyway, I've had success in changing those washers without the need to drain the whole pan. What I did was take out the drain bolt slowly (engine cold of course). When the bolt is ready to pop out, use the thumb on your free hand to plug the hole. With the other hand (or helper), swap the washer out with a new one (cup side up toward pan). Move thumb and insert bolt quickly. If done right, only a couple of ounces will come out. You can pour it back into the engine, but it didn't affect the dipstick reading. I did this on a Maxima (FWD) so the pan is right in front. Same principle. Torque on the bolt should be 25 ft/lbs.

I haven't changed the oil on a G yet, but how did you know it leaks? Wouldn't it leak onto the underbody cover or is there a hole in the cover right below the plug? Hope this helps.

If I find a 14mm drain plug washer, will it be good for our cars? Do we actually have a specific one for our cars?
It will probably do in a pinch until next change.
Whatever you install, tho, make sure to check for leaks again when you are done.
You might want to check the mating surfaces for dirt or debris to ensure a good, flat contact.
