Hello folks. I'm extremely pleased to announce that on Thursday I will be traveling to Dallas (I live in Abilene, TX, it's about a three hour dirve) to pick up an 05' DG 6mt G35 coupe at Grubbs Infiniti. I was just curious as to any precautions I should take while driving the baby home, I'll definitely treat the car delicately for the 'break in period', but I was just curious as to any suggestions for its first drive (and a fairly long one at that).

Congrats on your new G. You're going to have a great time driving it back. Be sure to read the break-in procedure prior to driving home. In a nut shell . . . Keep the revs below 4k rpm and vary your speed.

Be sure to keep a good distance between you and the cars in front of your new G. You wouldn't want any chips in your new paint job while driving your new baby home.

Have a great trip home and be safe. You will have plenty of time to figure out all of the goodies out once you get back.

 

Oh, check the tire pressure before your trip home. I have heard that the dealers tend to over inflate the new tires. Your tires should be at 35lbs. psi.
