Well I finally bought a Obsidian/Graphite 05' G35 6MT with just the premium package yesterday. I located the last one showing available in northern cali within a 150 miles away from me on the Infiniti online dealer inventory search. The car was still on it's way being delivered to their dealership. So when I get home, I take a look at the Sale contract and noticed that the odometer reading said 35 miles on it! I was told by the salesmen that the car had no more than 5 miles on it and it was being shipped over from Japan. Also he had mentioned that their dealership has set demo cars they use strictly for test driving and that when you buy a new car, YOU'RE BUYING A NEW CAR. Exactly how he said it. Anyways, after that I I look down at the VIN# and it doesn't even match the VIN# online? What do I do? I'm going to call them up tomorrow for sure because now it's bugging me.

If these types of things bother you; its something you have to look at before you take delivery or sign anything. It saves alot of hassle later on.
I personally think the whole new car Odo thing is not that big of a deal, and the dealer will probably not be very sympathetic at this point, however you may be able to get your way if you yell enough. Is a few miles really worth all that stress? Not to mention you will probably have to wait months for a new G to knock off a few miles you will put back on in a day.

35 miles and your all bent up over it. Relax man is the car in good condition when you got it? Is there something different in the package that you originally wanted? If not why bother will a few miles really matter? I know some people buying their G with a lot more than 35 miles. Just my .02 cents.
You'll have 4 year 60,000 mile warranty. Thats very generous. Honda only offers 3 years...I wouldn't worry too much, but also dealers shouldn't BS thier customer, get to the bottom of it for the sake of showing them you are a well informed consumer. That way they can't play ANY tricks on you.
I'm pretty protective of those first miles as well, but 35 is pretty limited. Keep in mind, your salesman is probably full of **** about the 5 miles. I ordered my G and got it directly, it never having seen a sales lot or a test drive. It had 13 miles. When I ordered my '97 Mitsu. GSX it also arrived, unmolested, with... ...13 miles on the odometer. Coincidence? I don't think so. 13 miles seems to be the average minimum miles on a new car arriving from Japan. Don't sweat the additional 20 miles.

thanks for the replies guys. maybe im more mad at the fact salesmen bs too much instead of being straightforward. anyways i can't wait until i pick it up now. hopefully by the weekend.
I'd be very careful.
You might have gotten a dealer "bait-and-switch". If I am reading this correctly, you haven't seen the car yet? Your dealer may have had TWO people looking at a car with the same VIN. They sell the car to whoever closes the deal the fastest. For the other person, the dealership searches dealer networks and finds a car with exactly matching specs. Then they put the correct VIN number and Miles to make it all legal. MOST PEOPLE DON'T ATTEMPT TO MATCH VIN'S. Most people just look at the model/color/specs/price, or, if the car is in front of them, the actual car itself.
The car you saw on infiniti's online inventory might have been already sold, and they just found you a test drive car from another dealership with the same color and specs. Unless Inifinit's online inventory is up to the hour, the car could have been sold to someone else that afternoon, or even the day before.
