Technical Q on the coupe

I was just curious for those who have either tried or have successfully done this. Is it possible to have a DD G35C that you can also modify to be able to drift without turboing it? i already can make the car do a half as$ drift if i turn the VDC off, but Unfortunately i havent found a big enough parking lot or a track i can actually truely practice to get it done right. In my old S13, it wasnt difficult to do, so I hope the G can do the same. and before any of the flaming starts, I really do just want to know if i should bother trying to get it done, or if i should not even bother with this car doing so.

For your info, VDC is not truly off when you turn it off. It's just subdued. The only way to totally turn it off is to pull the VDC fuse, but you also lose ABS.

Ive tried the same thing but also cant find a big enough parking lot. only thing i could do is a little 360 action. Still I dont do even that much because it takes a toll on your car

I think the weight issue is going to be the killer in a NA drift application. The characteristics of a NA motor are going to be better suited for drifting, but with this much weight a little boost sure would help.

This is easily the flattest handling street car I've ever driven. Sliding has never felt so easy and under control for me. The G has a great chassis and balance. If you could get a ton of weight out of it, a NA G (with about 275-300RWHP) would be prime.

try feinting, clutch in and dumping the clutch at 5k rpm, counter steer, modulate and control your steering and throttle, and hang on. you'll see you dont need all that much more power. think of the g35 as an oversized ae86. underpowered for its weight yet still a force to reckon to. the g35 sucks at low speed turns, but because of it's weight...it's great at high speed sweeping turns because the weight will keep the momentum going.
