G35 SUCKS!! (not really..) but my window switch is broken!!!

I have a 2004.5 6mt with 12.5k miles. Last night i hit my window switches all the way down so that i could see in the dark while backing into a parking space (dark tint), and when i go to roll the windows up, the passenger window wont roll up. I try the switch on the passenger side... no dice. WTF, im thinking this is gonna ruin my night and that im gonna have to go home and put the car in the garage.... it feels like the switch isnt actuating whatever electronic part is below it. Its not stuck or anything but it doesnt have that point where it clicks. I decided to try one last thing and was able to roll it up with my key in the keyhole in the door.... but its still gay that this thing broke... i havent heard of anyone with this problem. I originally thought that it was my second window motor to go out on that side and at least its not that i guess... anyone else ever seen/heard of anything like this? It wasnt like i was smashing the switch with a hammer or something... whatever though... i know infiniti will fix it for free but its just not fun to drive 20 minutes and then sit for half an hour.... i guess i need a carwash though and free one will be kinda nice

it's most likely the motor. you have the right idea tho... just not with a hammer.

Make a fist and bang on the door panel right below the arm rest while holding the switch in the up position and it should go up so you can at least have it rolled up and take it to the dealer.

Window motors are common problem... switches aren't so common, although i've had 1 or 2 with bad switches.

i thought mine was broken once, make sure u didnt accidentally bump your window lock switch becasue this would make it impossible to roll up the passenger window from driver switch or passenger switch.

i rolled it up with the key on the outside... its not the motor like i thought... i can actually feel the difference in how the switch actuates when i push it down. LoL i checked the window lock because i have also had the same problem as the previous poster who thought his motor wasnt working. I already had that side's window motor replaced so i know how common that is. I really think i must have pushed the switch too hard at one point and it broke it somehow or something
