Re: PIX of Ivory Pearl debadged

In the old days (50s) we used to shave the hood and deck the trunk. removed all the emblems and keyholes. The trunk operated with a hidden electric switch. So, this is a trip down memory lane for me. Can't say as I like the look now though. I have removed my G35 letter and numbers from my Coupe and have a 350 GT Skyline emblem on it's way to me. I never liked the G35 name or it's association to the Sedan. I do however like the Infiniti Name and Mt. Fuji emblem.

"Your car looks great! I love the idea of removing everything so people are left wondering what car you are driving."

That's what I like about the debadging hehehehe...

Yeah I like the mystery factor as well. To me just leaving the Mt Fuji emblem didn't look right. It's either all or nothing.

Re: PIX of Ivory Pearl debadged

I've done a few photoshops of my car fully debadged, and have mixed feelings about it. From some angles I like it, but from more angles I like keeping the badges. I will say that it looks better in white than it does in black. I guess the chrome badges add more to black.

MOOG - good call. I've seen it with just the Fuji m-blem and it looks worse than with all the m-blems on it. Very sleek-naked, but it's own style. Nice.

Re: PIX of Ivory Pearl debadged

You reminded me of an old C&D article on the Aston Martin Lagonda... The C&D editor made some comment about the lack of badges identifying the car, and the Aston Martin brass answered with a straight face, "If they don't know what this car is without badges, then they really don't needs to know." I think it'd be better to left the Mt. Fuji on too...
anyways, it's not that bad... i personally hate that I N F I N I T I letters there, but at least leave the Infiniti Symbol on...
Or just go buy a JDM Skyline emblems and put it on, looks even better!
