Really, how bad are the rattles?

I think I'm having the same problem with you. It sometimes gets pretty loud
and stops randomly.
I also ordered new a/c panel in the passenger side, cuz freaking service guys
couldn't fix that, even though they knew exactly where it was coming from
I even wanted to glue it. I also had to replace my cd player TWO times cuz
it was skipping alot in the first time and didn't work at all in the second time.
Despite of all these problems, I love my G.... I think I'll get 2006 or 2007.

I have a whistle near my rear axle but that's about it... of course my music is pretty loud most the time.
Well on second thought the little pocket on my driver door vibrates sometimes and there have been a few little wierd things here and there but they come and go.
I notice things more in this car than I ever did in my 00 Celica-GTS but I think that's probably because I expect more out of this car and the cabin is quite a bit quieter. That Celica was an awesome car for the money.
Overall I'd say this car has few rattles and I wouldn't let it be a factor in deciding whether or not to buy it.

my 05 coupe with sport suspension and 8000 miles on it has rattel when i drive over certain bumps and pavement that is harsh
i drove a 04 loaner and the car had no rattles what so ever on the same pavement, i think it depends on the suspension....since the ride is more stiff
for all those that report no rattles, let us know what you are driving, if its not in your signature

I had a few rattles in my 04 coming from the dash behind the navi. I had a problem with the head unit and when service replaced it, the rattle went away. The only one that was left was a rattle in the rear above the side window (coupe) and that was fixed in a TSB. Knock on wood, no rattles left
Now if I can just get them to fix my sunroof squeek for more than a week, I'd be set!

I have a buzzing/rattling sound from the console area around the shifter (I think). It's in the shop right now. It's very obnoxious and as my '05 reaches 12k miles, the tires are beginning to let in more road noise and rattle the console even more. I also have a popping sound coming from the passenger side rear deck (not the speaker). My sunroof squeaks on occasion when the body is under torsion.
I'll let you know how it goes when I get it back.

Only rattle I have is more of a squeaking...it comes from the plastic and metal surrounding the shifter (6MT) on my 05. Only happens over bumps. Its about a 7 on an annoyance 10 scale though. Anyone else have this prob? I want to rip the console apart before it snows to tighten up the fitting and maybe stick some adhesive felt in there. Anyone disassemble an 05 console yet??
