when i shut off the engin, as my engine shuts off, i hear a rattle...

i think its coming from my tranny.


also i hear a similar rattle when im in neutral(shift **** in neutral), while my engine is running
and once i put it in gear...the rattle goes away

any 05 6mt owners with the same rattle?

 

Engine and tranny are about to blow up..you will see the mushroom cloud for miles and miles......

 

On my 04, sometimes there was a rattle when i turned it off. I think its the tranny heat shield or whatever you call it

 

No, my '05 is about four months old and I have never heard the rattle you describe. It appears as though the rattle is constant, so just take it to your dealer and they'll fix it. Please let us know what they found.

 

It's normal. All our 6mts have those sounds. Do a search, this was questioned before. Do not worry.
