Trade????????
Trade????????
Im about to trade in my 05 coupe(Auto) for an 05 6mt coupe(at an Infiniti dealership). My car is still pretty new w/ less than 2k miles, and it is being financed through Infiniti. If i get an even trade or money back for my trade, then how would this work? Will I just keep making the same payments if trade is even? If i get money back, will they just take it out of the amount financed?? Is it even possible to trade a car that hasn't been paid off yet?? If anyone can help me with this that would be great.
How much down payment you put down on 05AT? what you mean by even trade? is that dealer will offer to pay your loan off? or you mean that they offer you an NEW 6MT for your USED 5AT and your payment remine the same? hahahahaha...highly unlikely,at least you will have to pay sale tax and DMV fees again, which is amlost 10 percent of pruchas price...., it will be two different deal, they will pay the loan off and get you a new loan.
Of course you can trade the car which it has not been paid off, if dealer not offer you enough for it to be paid (they never offer enough), they will just add the difference to you new loan....now, if you had put large sum of down payment begin with(10K)? then you might be ok...my advise is.....DO NOT do it!

Well, I have an auto w/ premium, sports, and navi., and I was lookin to trade for a used 6mt with same miles w/o navi . Comparing new to new my car is worth about 3k more. I have paid 15k for a down payment. So, if I have to pay ttl fees again, would I be able to come out of this deal without paying more or even with a little something back?? Does anyone have experience with this kind of trade?
If you put 15k down you should come out ahead without paying TTL again. I wouldnt do it without coming out ahead. If I were you I would try and work out a deal for a new 6mt even trade because you put so much down.

Dude, it's not worth it. I went through the same thing...I initially wanted a 6speed but then I ended up coming out the dealer with an Auto for one reason or the other.
After some time I regretted it and wanted a 6speed, but it was too big of a hit financially to trade...and there's no way to convert an auto to a 6. I just decided to take personal responsibility and buck it up, my next car will be a 6 speed hopefully.
Dude, a 6speed is no reason to go from a fully loaded G with navi and everything to a stock manual. It's not that big of a difference....
If the auto seems slow, you can get a grounding kit to make the shifting crisper. And if you do see FI in your future...Automatics are better suited for that kind of power than Manuals are, Just ask Gurgen.
