Supposedly, there is a push for legislation banning car manufacturers from using the chems that give cars the "new car smell" b/c breathing it in causing cancer and other ailments.
The "new car" smell supposedly gives new car buyers feelings of euphoria and reassurance for buying a new car. Definetly smells good, but I try to roll down the windows as much as I can after I heard about this.
