Doesn't anybody change their oil themselves anymore for $10? Is there something about the 35coupe that requires a rack or something?

My friend has a new M3 and an oil change costs him $200 CDN. You have to get it done at the dealership b/c of the warrenty.

These things are usually free if you negotiate BEFORE you sign the papers... You can usually get free service up till the 30K service or before 24 months, whichever comes first.

Is there something about the warranty the requires me to have an Infiniti or Nissan dealer do the oil change and register it in their system vs. a third-party or myself?

Infiniti uses Valvoline Motor Oil...they also have Mobil 1 synthetic available but you gotta ask for it and it normally cost more. I like to use castrol synthetic but ya standard motor oil is valvoline.

Maybe your Infiniti dealer usese Valvoline, mine uses Kendal GT-1 High performance synthetic blend with a Nissan filter... It's a very good deal at $32 and Kendall recommends changing at 5K, but I do it at 3K anyway.
