i only get loaners for when i come in for a scheduled maintenance (i.e. 15k, 30k, 45k, etc)..

i'm surprised you guys get it for oil changes.. anyhow, the loaner car i just had this past week was an 05 sedan..

My dealer carries only Infiniti for loaners. Usually it's either a 04'-05' G35X or 04'-05' loaded FX35 (Navi intelligent key, etc.)

Cars are always clean and have full tank of gas.

Original poster here...

I go to Douglas Infiniti in Summit NJ - they are part of the whole Douglas Auto Group which includes Buick and Volkswagen, maybe others. That's probably why I get a crappy loaner - it's not JUST an Inifiniti dealership?? Anyone have any experience with Ray Catena in Edison NJ? I always heard they were good - think I'm going there next time.

Also, I'm REQUIRED to return the car with a full tank of gas - guess that's standard.

Here's my original debacle i had with Douglas back in the spring - enjoy! (click link below)

The requirement to return the car with a full tank of gas (or the same amount of gas there was when I picked it), is a new policy. I guess it's due to the recent high rise in gas prices. Until recently, free gas was a given with a loaner.

Took my G coupe 6MT in for an unscheduled stop, Tick in the rear each time the clutch was let out. Driving a 05 g35x auto right now wtih 1100 miles. All the loaners here are G35x or FX35s. Loaner is clean as a whistle! Sorry to hear what your getting.
BTW, the dealer is detailing my car inside and out, and topping off my car with fuel for me, along with the service call. Can't beat Bill Goodrich's service at Infintiy of Dublin in Columbus OH. Never a complaint from me.

Over here they've given me a 04 G35x. They ask that you return it with the same amount of fuel that it has in it when you pick it up (sounds fair). The crappy part is that the car is usually rather skanky (the last one smelled really bad inside, I checked the trunk and the mat was all wet so no doubt it was from the mold growing on it) and they have a huge advertisement for the dealership on the doors (yuck!). Nice car to drive though, FEELS faster than my 05 6mt coupe. I'm really glad I have an 05 based on the interior though...

05 G35 Sedans. I would be pissed if I dropped off and Infiniti and got a Pontiac.

My dealer gives out G35 sedans. To answer the question above - they do give out loaners for oil changes as long as the change is scheduled.

Do you have to pay a fee for loaner's car? I never have any experience with loaner's car. Is it offered in every Infiniti dealer? Just curious....

My dealer gave me various G35 sedans and an FX35 for aftermarket parts installs. Waited at the dealer for an oil change.

The ABQ dealer uses G35 sedans as loaners and will give one for an oil change if you schedule at least 3 workdays in advance.

Discover Infiniti - San Diego, CA

I've been in twice for oil changes and waranty work and I've gottan '04 sedans both times. The first sedan was crap, very poorly taken care of the second only had like 6K miles...it was ok. I wanted an '05 but they were all taken.

They also said only for warranty work will you get a loaner...and you have to ask in advance for one too. It's all free BUT you must be over 25 years of age.

300zx, Lexus is getting AGGRESSIVE. Imagine that, buy a G35 and take it in for service, then they give you an m45 loaner...I swear I'd take a week or two to bring the loaner back in.

I've been given G35 Sedans, G35X's, and I35's as loaners (always for warranty work).
