Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe
can't blame the guy for selling the IS300 compared to the G the lexus looks reallllllllly dated that and it's too common now it's like the civic of luxury brands. Just about every one I see on the road now is all riced out like a civic too.
Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe
i never see IS300s in my area, about one stock one a week... and the reason i want to sell it is becuase i need an all around car and the IS cant do it for me because its to much of a risk for me if an accident does occur i am afraid i will get raped my the insurance company... and i want a faster car with a stick as well!

IS300toG35
I don't know how getting into a G35 coupe will help your insurance any. It's gonna be way worse since you are moving from a 4 door sedan to a 2 door coupe. Not only that but more horsepower and it's a newer. All that equals higher insurance. I also don't see how if you want an "all around car" a 2+2 coupe will fit the bill. Maybe the SportCross will make a better "all round car" or maybe a G35 sedan. As for speed why not just turbo your IS300 to stage 3 what have you kit and be smokin everything around? One thing you wont have with the IS however is the modern smooth pimpin look of the G.

Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe
The last time i went to the insurance company the womam looked it up in her computer how much it would be to insure a g35c verses my car and the reason it is less was 2 reasons, she said that the g is a step under the lexus, and that it is "less expensixe to fix" and all I really want now is a MT that is faster that i can drive in the winter and the G35c seems to fit that
Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe
I would trade an IS300 for a G35 anyday! The 400 version would give me a bit of a pause, but I'd still do it hahaha. I don't like the road feel or acceleration of the Lexus in general. BORing.

As far as which one to buy...the G of course. But what you have now is pretty slick - is it worth all the hassle of getting a new car just to have the latest and greatest?

Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe
I paid cash and got 1,000 off. It depends on your salesmen , his sales manager and your ability to negotiate. I started by working with my salesmen and telling him what I wanted. I told him I was paying cash and needed something off. His sales manager offered
$300.00 off. I then made a firm stand with an offer for 800.00 off. At the same time I mentioned AAA that offerred immediate delivery and other dealers. This worked also due in part to the fact that I pretended to care less about when I got the car. If this would have failed I would have walked away and come back a different day and take whatever they offerred. I also had the money wired and by mistake it was $200.00 short which they never hassled me about. This equalled the 1000.00 off. So if you have'nt already negotiated, it is very important not to act like you have to buy the car from them. You can always come back or go elsewhere,
