Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe

Hi everyone! I have been looking on this forum for a few weeks now and though it was time to post. I have had a 01 Lexus IS300 for about 2 years in which I spent turning it into a show car. Here is a link to my car. http://www.cardomain.com/id/lex2569
I am going to be selling it to get a G35 coupe, the main reason is becuase I want a car for all year driving. My first question is if I were to get snow tires, how will a new england winter be in a 6mt? I do not want to make another show car i just want a few basic mods call it quits. My other question is I am going to be selling my IS privately and will be going to infiniti with all cash to pay for the car fully. If I work them a little how much would I be able to get a diamond graphite 6mt fully loaded with aero, premium, and nav for? Has anyone else paid cash in full for their G and care to tell me how much they got it for. Thanks guys, i cant wait to get a G35c

MSRP, and it's worth every penny. For the money you get "awesome design, power to boot and envy from your nemisis -CL-s, audi A-4, BMW 3, IS300, the G is untouchable. I was going to pick up a CL-s in 2001 because back then I was a Acura salesman and the TL-s were selling like hot cakes, but the CL-s looks too plain, no offense to acura, but it does not have the soul of a sports coupe.

Let me put it in simple terms, Within the next 4-5 years their will be no other luxury car makes that can design a style this awesome, with this kind of power and at a price that makes other car manufactures scratch their heads.

YOU WILL BE THE KING OF THE ROAD.

Of course their will be more powerful cars like the corvette ZO6 and Bmw m3, but they all have to pay more.

Happy motoring.

Sounds good dude, as far as winter driving goes, you will be just fine. A good set of winter wheels will go a long way. We have TONS of members on this forum that are from Canada. So when the season rolls around, there will be ALOT of talk about winter tires. Or you can just search right now for posts in the past 6 months about winter tires, you will find tons of info. (Search button is on the top of the webpage)
Good luck.

You should expect to pay MSRP. You are more likely to get a deal if you finance with the dealer, since they will make some money on that end as well. Whether you finance or pay cahs, the dealer gets all the money for the car right then an there.

mcleo is right.. it's a common misconception that paying cash will get you a better deal on a car. Dealers actually don't like cash customers.. they want all that additional money from financing. I paid cash and got MSRP (and had to fight a bit for that!).

Winter: you'll need snow tires. I was okay driving on plowed roads with the all seasons, but the slightest bit of depth got me in trouble.

Price: Both Nav and 6MT are rare. They'll probably need to order your car. Expect to pay MSRP. If you were buying an AT without Nav, you could probably get a few hundred bucks under sticker. You'll be getting a 2004, right?

Damn dude, your car is what made me consider an IS300, now you're selling it, that's the nicest IS300 i've seen yet. Nice job on it, but I understand where you're coming from, as I'm selling my 2002 Xtreme blazer with over 16 grand in mods done to possibly get a G35 coupe

I hope the guys at IS300.NET don't come over here to hunt you down and beat you with a stick

I remember this guy a long time ago (year or so ago) traded his car for some other car and they hounded him like we houndeed Curtis on his SRT-4 Journey

I think you will be ok if you drive it on roads that are plowed often but I wouldn't go on hills/country roads that don't get plowed often.

That's why I'll need a beater.

To trick dealer, you just say yes that you're going to finance it. Get the deal you want and say hmmm....I'll put 38K down and 2K finance and pay it off in a month. heheheh

$4100... you mean $41,000? I thought fully loaded they go for 38k. Does that include tax, and everything?

A fully loaded G35 6MT coupe goes for about $39K before taxes, after luxury tax and sales tax it's a little over $41K out the door.

Re: Going From IS300 To G35 Coupe

i can't believe you are selling your is300. i admit my i-s is pretty much a show car/weekend ride also. but i could not part with it. the g35 coupe is the same pimp league, that's why i got that too.. lol. the g is my daily now.. is there any way you can keep your i-s? maybe sell it to a family member so you can still drive it from time to time. : )

btw, i got my auto g coupe for $37k after taxes. 17" wheels, leather, moonroof.
