19" wheels warrenty

I just purchased a 2005 G35 coupe with the 19" wheels sport package.

My dealer has offered a warrenty program which for $350 total (coverage for a 39 month lease) covers damage to the rims and tires. They replace major scratches, dented rims and blown tires.

I live in NY and there will be plenty of potholes this season im sure.

Is this worth it?

Thanks.

^ Don't jump to conclusions....read the fine print. Dealers aren't stupid, they are out to make money and they are also aware of the market price for tires.

they will probably replace your tires upon condition i.e nail at 4k miles. and you will probably have to buy oem tires to keep that warrenty for ever. this also means you have to stick with oem rims and tires. and it's a bad deal if you want aftermarket rims like me. they will not replace bald tires. or good conditioned with about 50% or more thread. infiniti are not idiots. so it depends on condition. if you plan to stay with oem rims and tires then go with it.

my situation was this
at 18k miles i was going to go with aftermarket rims and tires.
i live in georgia.
better yet in PTC where we barely have potholes. and in the areas that we do traffic is busy as he ll

I plan on sticking with the infiniti rims. They also told me that the rims are $800 each.

If thats true....then I might as well take the warrenty.

just do the warranty.. they didn't offer the warranty on the coupe wheels when i got my 04, and a week after i got my car, i had a tire defect.. bare in mind, i did get the tires pro-rated because the bubble was a warranty defect, but i ended up getting a warranty at america's tires anyways.. after that, i had a few nail fixes and one irrepairable puncture.. so yeah, i truly do believe in tire warranties..

i got it for my benz.. and it is pretty much identical (just a little more expensive) to what infiniti offers.. i understand that it is a money making product for them, but when you do need it, it is priceless.. better safe than sorry, that's what i think..
