Re: Changes you want for 2004?
I would like more color variety for interior and exterior.
Burnt orange interior in a black car would be sweet like the z
other than tha
t..
now that were on the wish thing ... a self cleaning interior and exterior would be nice .. and a fridge and some sort of autodrive function... a 52 inch foldup plasma tv ... ummm ... ...
ok .. enough.

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
Memory seats would definitely be a great improvement. Turn signal on the side mirrors (like the m-benz). A built in navigation, not the pop-out that i have now. The navigation to be voice activated (like every car that is coming out now, even the honda accord has this). Tilting mirrors when put on reverse.

Hey its a great car already, but i'm just being sellfish.

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
- Telescoping Steering Column

- Seat back that returns to position

- Headlights turn off with ignition when in auto mode

- Dead pedal / footrest that's in-line with the rest of the pedals.

- Side mirror that tilts down for parallel parking

- Digital clock (when every other readout shows numbers, it takes a conscious effort to switch my brain into analog mode.)

- Controls that I can reach!
Is this asking for too much? When they're selling at least two-thirds of the cars to the US, why is the center console set up for a right-hand drive? All the important controls are on the other side of the console. Maybe if they were on my side of the car I would stop mixing up the temperature and volume buttons!

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
I don't have NAVI but if it were touch screen & voice activation I would have gotten it, memory seats - although in the owners manual it has directions for memory seats?!?!? I guess they're going to put them in for 04, All black on the roof liner and pillars instead of tan, Bi-xenon HIDs

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
Pretty much the things I'd want have already been mentioned, but here's one more...

Anybody else find it silly that when you open the hood it has one of those old fashioned prop sticks to keep it up? I can't believe they put that on a newly designed car. Even my mom's Jetta doesnt have that... :-P

woah really? gotta put hydrolic hood things on that **** then, i guess that was part of their cost-cutting techniques, they saved $50 on each car probably by putting that old/cheap stick method

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
Great Post.

If Infinity is listening, please take this as a "Wish-List", and not a "Bitch-List". This is a great car, and I would like to see it made even bettter.

Here's my list:

- Memory seats, mirrors, radio settings, and A/C settings based on which key fob you use.
- Telescoping steering wheel.
- Parking brake handle on center console vice push pedal.
- Put the seat controls on the side of the seat or door if they won't fit on the side of the seat.
- Motors for the seat back and lumbar adjustment.
- Adjustable seat and back bolsters. The seats are a little narrow for some of us "full-figured" drivers.
- Make heated seats an option vice mandatory option.
- Move the side-mirror adjustment to the door panel.
- Tire pressure monitoring system
- The NAV System is great, especially the Bird's Eye View. However, how about allowing ALL NAV System functions to be available when the vehicle is in motion, AND the passenger seat is occupied. This assumes the passanger is operating the NAV system, and not the driver. You could have a WARNING come up saying that it's unsafe for the driver to program it, and that it's OK if the passanger programs it.
- How about a touch-screen for the NAV System instead of the joystick. I am waiting for this to break off.
- Change the Cruise Control buttons and functions so that they are labled ACCEL/SET and DECEL/ RESUME instead of ACCEL/RES and COAST/SET. It doesn't seem natural to press the COAST button when initially setting it.
- Put the Coupe's grill on the Sedan. It would look better.

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
AWD
400+ hp w/supercharger
275 rear/245 front tires to fill the wheel wells
Stealth XM antenna & prewiring
touch-screen nav unit
Different color scheme for the dash lights (get a clue from VW)
Better seatbelt arrangement- snap-out doohickeys are a pain if you use the back seat at all.
Lowered driver seat- I end up looking through the tinted strip on the windshield
Lowered back seat- 2" more would make all the difference for back seat passengers
Better interior plastics- (see VW Passat)
Revised Radio & AC controls. After a month, it still isnt intuitive. Don't turn the AC on by default.
Revised headliner- I bought a no-sunroof model because I'm tall, but they used the same headliner as the sunroof model- 2" of dead air above liner! And make it black!
Tintable glass- kill the 'dots'
Memory seats
Seat back that returns to the right spot after tilting seat forward
telescoping wheel
Reduced stick vibration
M5 Blue color
Auto-tilt mirrors to protect rims from curbs.
Better looking aero tail

Re: Changes you want for 2004?
What the coupe needs…
 Move the left foot rest closer to the driver’s seat.
 Loose the slow electric seat when you are letting the kids in the back seat.
 My wife’s Ford Windstar has a better sound then the Bose.
 20-30 more HP.
 Get rid of the delay & slide shift when you shift the auto trans in manual mode.
 HUD!
 Change the cruise set button to push up.
